"There has recently been a spate of RapidShare phishing, and to thwart this, us webmasters need to work together to reduce the risk to our users and ourselves.
The main ones at risk are forums, blogs and sites that accept comments."
We can only
try to prevent the problem, so please read carefully.
If you want to make sure that the Rapidshare page you are viewing is authentic or not, there are several things to look for.
First, make sure that the page is real, look for things like this:
Authentic:

Fake:
Click this bar to view the full image.
Authentic:

Fake:

There are a lot of other things to look for to figure out what is real and what is fake, mainly you should be smart, and look around, make sure that it is a Rapidshare page, and never give your login info to anyone.
Be smart, and spread the word, but don't blame the redirection / protection sites such as tinyurl.com, they are also victims, sites like that are used by phishers as a cover, to hide their links and mask them.
If this happens to you or you think it has then please contact a Super Moderator or any Administrator with the thread URL and we will look into it!
Thanks
